Rupee dealing at 56.03 against dollar

The rupee was dealing at 56.03 at 1.40 pm local time.

MSCI's Asia ex-Japan index was down 0.9 percent, Nikkei average shed 0.8 percent, while Great commodity in Singapore was down 0.4 percent.

Analysts expect the rupee to fall further below to 57 levels.

Call Prices and G-Secs

The contact money rates, which started out higher at 8.25 percent, were dealing at 8.15 percent.

The standard 8.79 percent govt protection growing in 2021 was dealing at Rs 103.10 with a generate of 8.30 percent.
