Search engines I/O 2012 has come and gone, making us with a few offerings to dig into here at PCMag Labs—most especially the Search engines Nexus 7, an Os product that features the search giant's latest mobile managing system, Os 4.1 "Jelly Vegetable." The clean leading system arrive at our gates today and we've got some unboxing images and first opinions for those who can't delay for the mid-July delivery date.
A quick refresher course for the uninitiated; the Nexus 7 is an Asus-made 7-inch Os product costing $199 for an 8GB style and $249 for 16GB. It functions a 1,280-by-800-pixel show, quad-core Tegra 3 brand, and comes pre-loaded with Os 4.1. Its size and price leaves it directly against the Amazon Amazon kindle Flame, though iPad evaluations will be unavoidable as well. Head over to our Nexus 7 vs. Amazon kindle Flame Specifications Evaluation for a more in-depth look at the two small-screen pills. The box is simple and moderate, with nothing really to create home about here. Inside you'll find the Nexus 7, power adaptor, small USB wire, and instructions. The Nexus 7 looks like a lot of 7-inch pills out there, coming in a little bit slimmer and brighter than the Amazon kindle Flame. The front functions no physical control buttons, as is common with most contemporary Os pills, with the 1.2-megapixel photographic camera included on top of the screen's frame. The back is protected in a leather-like, dimply silicone content.
That's all for now, but keep updated in for our full evaluation. Also be sure to check out our Hands On With Google Nexus 7 Tablet.
